Most local law enforcement agencies
in Virginia support Neighborhood Watch and many have established standards for
Neighborhood Watch signs and other Neighborhood Watch program material. The VCPA
recommends that you contact your local law enforcement agency first when starting a
Neighborhood Watch program. Listed below are the city, county and town law enforcement
agencies in Virginia that sponsor Neighborhood Watch. The list is drawn from a statewide
Neighborhood Watch survey conducted by the Department of Criminal Justice Services in the
Summer of 2002. The list is updated based on additions or revisions submitted by local law
